"During my graduate work at Boston University, I became interested in helping children and adults adapt to family change including separation, divorce and blended families."
Prior to opening my private therapy practice, I worked as a school-based social worker/school counselor for 15 years in the San Francisco Bay Area as well as in the Boston Public School System. My focus was on promoting healthy social development of children, families and school communities.
During my graduate work at Boston University, I became interested in helping children and adults adapt to family change including separation, divorce and blended families.
Since then, I have been committed to serving families adapting to family change by developing curriculum, leading support groups for children experiencing significant family changes and consulting with parents to support healthy co-parenting.
In addition to my work in school settings, I worked for several years as a therapist in outpatient counseling clinics serving individuals, (adults and college students) and families along with providing group supervision for mental health professionals.
